Benjamin Koziner, M.D., CEO of ONCOGROUP

A graduate of the University of Buenos Aires Medical School, Dr. Koziner completed his training in Hematology at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachussetts and in Medical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center ("Memorial Hospital") in New York City.

While at Memorial Hospital he was a staff member of the Lymphoma Service from 1976 to 1987 and became the Director of the Bone Marrow and Marker Laboratory in 1978.

In 1987, Dr. Koziner returned to his native homeland of Argentina to work on bone marrow freezing and autotransplantation. He assembled a team of doctors and nurses which performed the first autotransplant in Argentina in 1988.

Since that time, the freezing laboratory has provided training and services to other clinical units in Argentina, Peru and Uruguay. The increasing number of indications of bone marrow and blood transplantations in adults and children encourage the development of new clinical units making use of institutional resources (physicians, nurses, lab personnel) each unit specializing in particular patient populations.

Dr. Koziner is US Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology.
